I’ve always been drawn to the thoughtful planning behind how spaces flow, function, and support everyday life — not just aesthetically, but practically as well. While I have worked professionally in the custom home industry for the past five years, I’ve been designing and planning spaces since I was fifteen years old. I graduated from Penn State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree with a Structural Engineering discipline, along with minors in Residential Construction and Architectural Studies. Penn State’s Architectural Engineering program is a five-year accredited program, during which I successfully completed and passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam, earning my Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) designation. During college, I also had the opportunity to attend both the International Builders’ Show and Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, where I quickly realized my passion was rooted in residential construction and the way thoughtful design impacts how people live within their homes. Throughout college, I was heavily involved in Penn State’s National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) student chapter and served as Chapter President during my fifth year in the program. I competed in the NAHB national student competition for two consecutive years, leading the architectural division of the projects and developing multiple original floor plans and residential layouts for the competition entries. During my first competition year, the team earned first place nationally. The following year, I served as team lead for the subsequent competition team, which earned second place overall nationally. While the competition permitted the use of existing online floor plans, our teams chose to create original, fully buildable layouts from scratch, which received positive recognition from builders and industry professionals serving on the judging panels for their level of detail, functionality, and constructability. During college, I was also awarded best overall design within my class for a campus study post project. I currently work full time within the custom home industry and continue to love being immersed in residential construction and design every day. Over time, however, I felt a strong pull to create something of my own — a space where I could work more directly with homeowners and better serve clients who would occasionally reach out seeking help with layouts, kitchens, renovations, and space planning. That passion ultimately evolved into Lauren Rebecca Interiors, where I’m able to combine technical planning with thoughtful, highly personalized residential design. My work focuses heavily on the architectural and layout side of interiors, carefully considering flow, proportion, storage, functionality, and overall cohesion long before construction begins. I love helping homeowners fully visualize their spaces through detailed layouts, cabinetry planning, elevations, and realistic renderings that bring clarity and confidence to the design process. I currently reside in Peters Township with my husband, our son, our Keeshond Meeko, and our two Holland Lop bunnies, Oakley and Frost.
